The research project was designed to address the following research problems in cloud infrastructure monitoring. • To understand the problems of monitoring in cloud infrastructure with currently available monitoring tools. • To understand the limitation of currently available monitoring tools in cloud aspect. • To understand the problems of performance and resource utilization in virtualization and cloud computing • Algorithm to generate probabilistic prediction on monitoring state information (Ok Critical, Warning etc) for virtual and cloud infrastructure • Algorithm to optimize monitoring information. • Mathematical model to predict cloud resource utilization and forecast monitoring alert. • Build alert language to predict alert from monitoring events.
