    DIRE SON IDENTITE ANTILLAISE : ENTRE MASQUE ET EXPRESSION D'UN JEU COLONIAL Une identité à décoloniser Observation et analyse de mécanismes de construction de référentiels identitaires dans et entre groupes de Noirs en Ile-de-France La langue créole se veut emblème de l'identité antillaise. C'est sur cette base que sont établis les actes d'identité, et l'étude du code switching souligne des divisions constantes entre Antillais. Ces divisions sont révélées par des stratégies identitaires manifestées au quotidien et (in)consciemment à travers le langage. En effet, si la colonisation française est une période révolue, les logiques de la francisation, et notamment la stratégie coloniale du diviser pour régner, semblent continuer leur cours. Il s'agit alors d'analyser les mécanismes des divisions internes (entre Antillais et entre Noirs) afin de révéler ces logiques, et de comprendre dans quelle mesure l'identité antillaise est colonisée. Ainsi, avec les langues du bilinguisme antillais comme outils de la francisation, le langage apparaît comme un medium de manifestation de la stratégie coloniale du diviser pour régner qu'il convient alors de décortiquer afin de proposer des perspectives pour enclencher un processus urgent de décolonisation.

    HOW TO BE FRENCH WEST INDIAN : HIDING AND MANIFESTING THE (NEO)COLONIAL GAME Decolonizing the language Observing and Analyzing the Mechanisms Behind the Construct of Identity Referentials Within and Between Groups of Black People in Ile-de-France (France) The Creole language is claimed to be the emblem of the French West Indian identity. On this basis rests the acts of identity, and the code switching phenomenon underlines constant divisions among French West Indian people. These divisions are revealed by identity strategies set on a daily basis (either knowingly or unknowingly) through the language. In point of fact, even if the French colonization belongs to the past, its logic – especially the colonial strategy of ‘divide and rule' – keeps ruling nowadays. The idea is then to analyze the mechanisms behind these internal divisions in order to reveal such (neo)colonial logic and understand in what extent the French West Indian identity is colonized. Therefore, both languages of the French West Indian bilingualism are tools and smoke screens of French colonial order's logic. The colonial strategy of ‘divide and rule' appears to express itself through the language. Thus, the goal of this work is to dissect it in order to offer perspectives to engage the decolonization process of the French West Indian identity.
