Résumé

De l’antiquité à nos jours la souffrance contribua à la création des chefs-d’œuvre de la littérature mondiale, mais sans doute elle fut aussi la cause d’autodestruction de plusieurs créateurs. Dans le but de ressortir l’importance de la souffrance à la naissance des récits de mœurs de Georgios Vizyinos et d’Alexandros Papadiamandis nous aborderons une recherche qui rapprochera la vie personnelle de ces deux éminents représentants du récits de mœurs néogrec, leur contour social et leur production de ce genre, car le récit de mœurs, comme genre, donne la possibilité de s’informer sur les éléments psycho graphiques et autobiographiques du créateur et de ses héros et sur la vie quotidienne de l’époque. Ainsi ces récits de mœurs, de la naissance du genre (1880) jusqu’au début du 20ème siècle (1911), nous témoigneront-ils, si la souffrance peut être considérée comme élément d’existence, d’autodestruction et d’inspiration littéraire chez ces deux écrivains en Grèce de cette époque-là. A travers l’analyse psychologique du comportement des héros principaux et de leur manière de gérer les donnés de l’existence (mort, liberté, isolation, absence de toute signification); et à travers l’affliction de la vie de leurs créateurs nous étudierons le rôle que joue la souffrance dans les récits de mœurs de cette époque-là; comment elle fonctionne comme inspiration au récit de cette période; comment elle l’aide à prospérer; comment cette souffrance aboutit parfois au délice et à constituer un élément indispensable de la personnalité des héros principaux et par conséquent de l’inspiration des écrivains; En deux mots nous verrons si cette souffrance est essentielle à la raison d’existence des héros principaux des récits des mœurs et aussi bien à la créativité littéraire de ces deux hommes d’ esprit de la Grèce.

Résumé

The suffering from the antiquity up to nowadays has contributed to the creation of great masterpieces in literature all over the world and it has been the reason of the self-destruction of many authors as well. Wondering its importance to the birth of the modern short tales in Greece of 19th century, our research will proceed in the personal life, the social setting and the production of two Greek authors, considering that the short tale is based on the description of the habits of everyday life including psychographic and biographic elements of its creators and its heroes. In brief, the short tales of the period of the birth of this genre (1800-1911) of two eminent Greek authors such as Georgios Vizyinos and Alexandros Papadiamandis, will enlighten us as to how much the pain may be considered as an element of writing inspiration and creation, but likewise of self-destruction. Through the psychological analysis of the behaviour of principal heroes and their dealing with the four ultimate concerns of life (death, freedom, isolation, meaninglessness) and through the affliction of the life of their authors, will be described the role which pain plays in life, how it functions as an inspiration to the specific genre of this period, how it urges it to prosper and how this pain, this affliction ends many times to the delight and to an indispensable element of the personality of the principal heroes and the inspiration of these two writers; in two words how important is pain as the reason for the existence of these principal heroes and to the writing creativity of these two intellectuals of the newly established Greece of the time1880-1911.
