Résumé

Cette thèse est une étude anthropologique de la planification familiale à Bamako (Mali). Elle vise à comprendre les comportements des acteurs sociaux face aux propositions des programmes consacrés à la planification familiale. Un des aspects importants de notre démonstration est le fait que les normes des programmes ne sont pas les suels référents normatifs pour les individus. Parmi les autres univers qui influencent leurs conduites, les uns valorisent la procréation (coutume, religion) et les autres la sexualité inféconde et la recherche du plaisir sexuel (modèles sexuels mondialisés). En analysant les pratiques d'acteurs, nous avons fait le constat que, d'un côté les acteurs sociaux conjuguent tous ces ensembles normatifs dans leurs conduites sexuelles et reproductives et qu'il détournent les propositions des programmes de l'autre.

Anthropology of a public health practice: the case of the family planning in Mali

Résumé

This thesis is an anthropological study of family planning in Bamako, Mali. It aims at understanding the behaviours of social actors facing family programs propositions. One of important aspects of our demonstration is the fact that the programs norms are not the only normative referents for the individuals. Among other normative universes which influence their behaviours, some value the reproduction (customs, religion) and the others the infertile sexuality and the research for the sexual pleasure (Globalized sexual models). By analyzing actors' practices, we made the report that, on one side the social actors conjugate all these normative sets in their sexual and reproductive behaviours and that, by other side, they divert the norms of the programs.
