Résumé

An exemple of language terminology planning : the departmental terminology committees in france (1970-1993). The aim of this thesis is to describe the history of the departmental terminology committees in france (from 1970 to 1993). In 1970 the french government decided to create in each department several terminology groups which have promoted an original action in language planning. This thesis deals with the description of the creation of neologisms, and this to show the effects of terminological decisions on the use of french language, particularly in technical anw scientific fields. The relations with the french speaking countries are also quoted. This historical, linguistical and terminological research gives some proposals about an original way to an efficient language planning in the terminological field.

Résumé

La these retrace l'histoire des commissions ministerielles de terminologie en france de 1970 a 1993. Le gouvernement francais decide en 1970 de creer dans chaque ministere des groupes de terminologie specialises dont l'action forme peu a peu une entreprise originale d'amenagement linguistique. La these decrit egalement la maniere dont les choix terminologiques ont ete faits, et la creation des neologismes, et tend a montrer l'impact des decisions terminologiques officielles sur l'usage du francais, particulierement dans les domaines scientifiques et techniques. Les relations avec la francophonie sont egalement mentionnees. Cette recherche de nature historique, linguistique et terminologique aboutit a un ensemble de propositions susceptibles de tracer une voie efficace en matiere d'amenagement des terminologies.
