In this thesis it is argued that literary creation, in the 17th century, resolves around the presence of the human voice. Four areas are studied in succession : voice production in scientific treatises, techniques of pronunciation and their related ideologies, the rapports between the divine word and poetic inspiration, monarchical liturgies. The conclusion puts forward that 17th century french literature remains massively grounded in orality and that the function of the printed word is a marginal one.
