Résumé

Cette thèse d'université souhaite observer chez l'homo-actor l'émergence à la tenue d'un rôle social, à l'exercice d'un métier et démontre le processus de présentification qui entraîne l'homme à dépasser les frontières d'une seule présence naturelle pour atteindre à une présence sociale. Pour cela, l'auteur avance l'hypothèse que cet homo-autor ment en oeuvre une double capacité : une aptitude au sacre (se donner une origine sociale) et une faculté au festif (se donner des pairs). Le champ d'étude choisi est la scène théâtrale dans la mesure ou l'homme de théâtre, par sa fonction, met en oeuvre de manière explicite. De double processus. L'analyse des discours des auteurs dramatiques, des metteurs en scène et acteurs guide vers ce qui constitue le principe de ce phénomène : à savoir le fait que l'acteur ne cesse de se masquer. Ce travail aboutit à une "clinique du personnage", à deux facette : une "clinique du provisoire" et une "clinique de l'apparence". Chaque chapître constitue une partie d'une grille de lecture

Résumé

This doctoral thesis is an attempt to observe in homo-actor the emergence of playing a social role, whilst carrying on a profession, and to take apart the process of presentification which brings man to go beyond the boundaries of a natural presence alons in order to attain a social presence. In order to do this, the author advances the hypothesis that homoactor draws upon a two fold capacity : an aptitude for the sacred (provide oneself with a social origin) and a faculty for the fastive (provide oneself with peers). The chosen field study is the theatre in so far as people of the theatre, by their function, make explicit use of this twofold process. The analysis of the language of playwrights, stage-managers and actors points towards what constitutes the principle behind this phenomenon : the fact that actors are forever masking themselves. The study leads up to a "clinical analysis" of the character looking at two facets : an "analysis of the provisional" and an "analysis of the appearance".
