Le contexte oral de la culture medievale, dominant au vie siecle, est persistant meme lorsque la culture s'oriente aux xiie-xiiie siecles vers un fonctionnement textuelle. Dans la liturgie, la double evolution de l'oral et de l'ecrit est perceptible dans la vie monastique et reguliere ainsi que dans l'eglise des paroisses et des cathedrales. La persistance de l'oral se voit dans l'accomplissement de la liturgie de memoire; la nouvelle orientation autour du texte ecrit se voit dans l'organisation textuelle de la liturgie et dans la pratique de la lecture qui remplace la recitation des textes par coeur.

Résumé
The oral context of the medieval culture, dominant in the 6th century, is persistant even when the culture is oriented towards a literate way of functionning in the 12th and 13 th centuries. In the liturgy, the double evolution of the oral and the written is perceptible in monastique and regular life as well as in the church of the parishes and the cathedrals. The persistance of the oral is seen in the performance of the liturgy from memory, the new orientation around the written text is seen in the literate organisation of the liturgy and in the practice of reading which replaces the recitation of texts by heart.
