Résumé

Le developpement concentre de la region littorale casablanca-rabat est un fait qui a debute avec l'etablissement du protectorat au maroc (1912). Cette concentration a multiples caracteres (demo-urbaine, industrielle. . . . ) a entraine une utilisation abusive et contradictoire d'un espace limite et sensible : le littoral. Avec l'independance, ce type d'organisation territoriale s'est maintenu et meme s'est accentue secretant de serieux problemes quant a l'utilisation rationnelle et equilibree de l'espace littoral dans cette zone. Actuellement, on assiste le long de l'axe littoral casablanca-rabat a une pollution elevee des eaux cotieres, une degradation des sites, une extension demesuree des zones urbaines et une hyper-concentration industrielle et commerciale. La necessite de proteger ce littoral et d'assurer un equilibre entre preoccupation d'amenagement et de preservation du milieu sont poses plus que jamais. Il faut intervenir et vite pour sauver le littoral et organiser son occupation et ses utilisations.

Résumé

The concentrated development of the casablanca-rabat coast has begun in 1912 when the protectorate of morocco was established. This concentration which presented various characteristics (half-urban, industrial, and so on. . . ), gave birth to an abusive and contradictory utilization of a limited and sensitive space : the coast. With the independence, this kind of territorial organization was kept and became even more important giving rise to serious problems as far as the rational and balanced utilization of the coast space in this zone was concerned. Presently, along the casablanca-rabat coastal axis, the waters of the shore are getting very pollued, and the sites very spoilt. Urban zones are increasing beyong measure and there is a too high industrial and commercial concentration. It is now necessary to protect this coast and to try to make a balance between the care of parcelling and the protection fo life. It is very urgent to save the coast and to organize its occupancy and its utilizations.
