  • Résumé

Sustainable skills for agro-allied systems. An inquest into linkages between TVET and the potential for eco-social development in the savannah region of Togo’. Hopes to address wide gaps in value chain of agricultural products and services in communities in Dapaong Togo. Thereby creating skills for sustainable development. - So strengthening the links between Technical vocational training and agriculture sector will create positive feedback loops to increase self-sustainability along major components of the agricultural value chain: on-farm productivity, transport; post-harvest agriculture processing; and agriculture waste for energy applications (biogas) and biofuels. - Study to bring solutions for rural and undeveloped areas around Dapaong. Most of the people in the village are associated with agriculture. It is also observed that households that belong to agriculture business associations tend to have increased income level and that in the higher income group most of the people are those that have formed some sort of a partnership with agricultural extension services. This points to the fact that a local economy is already comfortable with Agro-allied system realities. Now it is time to back it up with extensive ‘agro-allied skills’ that serve as a major driver for the local economy.
