The services suggested by Internet are increasingly demanding in terms of resources, in particular the services concerning the multi-media one (videoconference, video with the request,. . . ). One of the principal objectives in the current networks is to offer a sufficient flow to meetthese needs. By considering the structure of Internet network of today, the networks most concerned with this need for high-flow are the networks of the type MAN and WAN. Our work was justified on the one hand by the increasing needs, in terms of resources, on Internet network, and on the other hand by the projections technological in the field of optics. Indeed, if networks today are mainly equipped by electronic omponents, it seems that optics can also meet the new and future needs. This work aims thus to study the viability of optics in the networks. We studied a network MAN and a WAN all-optics, synchronous with optical packages of fixed size. Our contribution relates to two aspects of these networks: - node and network architecture which makes it up: we propose a study of the architecture of the nodes of the network. This architecture is equipped with electronic components being able to be replaced by components all-optics. - the transfer of the data: several independent work is presented for the transfer of the data in the network. We propose there a study of quality of transfer for these data. For that, we introduce a mechanism of management of band-width.
