  • Résumé

Organizations are increasingly exposed to Information Systems that are pushed by the outside and operationalized by different stakeholders, either internal or external to the organization. Within this context, the question of actor’s appropriating Information Systems in the organization becomes a major managerial challenge. In this perspective, the purpose of this research is to study the articulation (or the link) between the organizational process materialized in managerial intent and the appropriation of Information Systems by end-user. In the first part of the research, a theoretical frame was mobilized. It answers a twofold objective. On one hand, we seek the definition of the key concepts connected to the global research question. On the other hand, it gives us the basis to discuss the theories, which allow understanding of this link. The second part of the research is devoted to an empirical study. Besides the description of the applied methodology, the objective of this part is to produce quantitative and qualitative data necessary for the treatment of the research questions. Both the quantitative and qualitative empirical study then ends in a discussion of their results. Considering the empirical results, the end-user appropriation of Information Systems is considered as a process, which begins at the same time as the first project management step. It is also strictly connected to the capacity of learning, of both the organization and the individual. The main contributions of the research consist in better understanding the appropriation process of Information Systems by end-users within the organization as well as its link with the managerial intent.
