Résumé

L'étude du vieillissement des prothèses classiques en PET a montré une chute du degré de polymérisation, ainsi qu'une augmentation de la cristallinité pour les prothèses explantées, Le comportement thermique a révélé un double pic endothermique pour les différents types de filaments "de PET de la prothèse vierge, Ces deux pics correspondent à deux structures cristallines différentes en taille. Ce comportement de fusion change pour les prothèses explantées. Une évolution de la température de transition vitreuse des filaments a été aussi détectée par analyse mécanique dynamique. Celle ci a été attribuée à l'apparition de petites cristallites dans les zones amorphes du polymère semi cristallin qui font chuter la taille moyenne des cristallites. Ces paramètres ne sont cependant pas très sensibles à un vieillissement à court terme. Pour celui-ci un autre paramètre s'est avéré très intéressant l'indice de vieillissement, calculé à partir des capacités de travail corrigées

Contribution to the ageing study of the textile vascular prosthese made of polyester

Résumé

The ageing study of the classical PET prostheses showed a decrease of the polymerization degree, as well as an increase in crystallinity for the explanted prostheses. The thermal behaviour revealed a double endothermic peak for the various types of PET filaments of the virgin prosthesis. These two peaks correspond to two crystalline structures differencing in size. This melting behaviour changes for the explanted prostheses. A change of the glass transition température of the filaments was also detected by dynamic mechanical analysis. That was allotted to the appearance of small crystallites in the amorphous zones of semicrystalline polymer which decrease the average size of crystallites. These parameters are however not very sensitive to a short-term ageing. For this ageing, another parameter seems to be very interesting: the index of ageing, calculated from the corrected capacities of work.
